CEO & Founder Mind Makeover Therapy

Since a little girl in my grandmother’s living room I have always loved drawing, sewing and creating. Creativity has always been a language I could understand. My work is rooted in the belief that self-expression is medicine and movement is transformative. When burn out hit, it didn’t look like failing…. It looked like functioning without feeling. Healing rarely happens the way we expect it to. For the longest time, I thought I was living the best way I knew how. I wasn’t. How can we heal what we’ve spent years suppressing, avoiding, and numbing just to survive? That question changed everything. It changed the way I built this practice. I stopped asking what the right thing to do was. I started listening to what my body needed. It wasn’t just safety in my environment. It was learning how to create safety within myself. For years, I stayed busy because slowing down meant risking feelings that seemed too overwhelming to survive. When you’re searching for the “right” way to do everything, it’s easy to confuse what you think with what’s real. Sometimes healing doesn’t begin with finding the right answers. Sometimes it begins with trusting yourself enough to do the hard things anyway. I wanted to create practice that honors your entire story. A place where your nervous system is invited to soften. Where creativity and evidence-based healing exist side by side. A create space for women to feel permission express and reconnect with themselves beyond survival. To unlearn strength as endurance, and silence as safety. Where you’re invited to create safety, make space, and come home to yourself.  My hope is that when you walk through these doors, you don’t feel pressure to perform healing.... You feel permission to embody it. Mind made up?

To the woman relearning safety after survival.

For Black women especially, survival can become an expectation. Strength is celebrated while exhaustion, anxiety, grief, overwhelm, and the need for care can go unseen.  Through body-based practices, we make space to:

REGULATE. Create safety.

RELEASE. Make space.

RECONNECT. Come home.
